Good days sailing in medium winds with our motley crew of ten! Pulled into Sandycove for lunch and laid anchor. The surrounding shores are very close, so watched our position carefully and decided that the boat was being dragged slowly across the inlet. Raised anchor, motored further into the lee of the hill where the winds should be lower, and dropped anchor again. Reversed hard to dig it into the sand. Sandwiches all round. Lots of chatter, tall stories. Lads up on the bow. Girls playing games downstairs. Carina and Josh take a nap. Time for the promised swim, but I am too cold now and so only
Caoimhe and CaraIosa take the plunge. The wind has picked up now and so the these two daredevils swim in full lifejackets with harness lines attached. Lots of shouting and excitement as they work up the courage to jump. When they do it is a short swim with lots of pained screaming. Back aboard, raised anchor, and out into the bay once again. Fished as we sailed but no luck today. Still lots of fun, and lots of noise to finish off another fabulous sailing weekend with our favourite cousins, the O Farrells.
