Day 1. Trip 2. To Dunmore East arriving evening of 26th March 2011.

This is our second outing of the year, and our first overnight stay! The destination is Dunmore Harbour and the weather is looking perfect with 17 knot South Westerlies and very little swell. Departure is timed to coincide with the outgoing tide at 6pm and we estimate arrival in DH just before nightfall.

Very little wind out on the river but it was lying in wait for us at Passage East and we made good progress out past Credan Head and on towards the Hook. Spent some two hours sailing around the bay before heading west for Dunmore and our home for the night!

Dinner comprised of fish and chips on the sea wall outside the Strand Hotel. Beautiful setting, but I do like my restaurants when I reach port, and I will be keen to factor arrival times much more carefully on our coming journeys!!!!!!
