Dermot and the crew of Yola depart for Kilmore Quay. Sunday 10th April 2011.

Phone call late Saturday night from Dermot to say that he, and the crew of Yola, had just arrived in Waterford. We had seen a white sail on the horizon earlier in the day off the Hook and now we guessed it must have been he. Yola is the Sail Ireland training vessel based out of Kilmore Quay, Co Wexford, and, most unusually, it was crewed this weekend by a family of 6 enthusiastic competent crew candidates. Pints were had in Doolans before retiring for the night!

Sunday morning was warm and sunny with little in the way of wind. Lazy breakfast on board and then organized the GPS waypoints. A flurry of photos all round as Dermot and crew departed for Kilmore Quay.
